Capital contribution reserve The capital contribution reserve represents the fair value of the assets and liabilities transferred to the Group on 5 September 2014 at nil consideration.

The Group has invested in a money market fund and purchased a number of government bonds with maturities ranging from March 2025 to May 2027 and gross annualised yields ranging between 2.14% and 3.12%. The Group’s investment in the money market fund is measured at fair value at 31 December 2024, based on quoted market values.

(i) As security for its borrowings (Note 23) the Group’s subsidiary company, Shannon Airport, has granted its lender an assignment and charge over a bank account. The balance on the account at year end was €1,254,446 (2023: €1,247,300) .
