Shannon Airport Travel Guide 2025

PREPARE BEFORE YOU FLY

Due to changes in EU Commission legislation, a temporary liquid restriction was introduced in September 2024. Passengers are not permitted to carry liquids, aerosols and gels in containers greater than 100ml in their cabin baggage. All liquids, aerosols and gels must be stored in containers of 100ml or less. There are special exceptions to the temporary liquid restrictions. These include essential medicines, special dietary requirements and baby food or milk. At Shannon Airport, you do not need to place your 100ml liquids in plastic bags or remove them from your bag at security screening. You can keep all your liquids and electronic items safely stored in your bag while passing through security screening. The temporary restriction on liquids applies to cabin baggage only. There are no liquid restrictions for checked-in luggage. If you can, pack all your liquids into your checked-in luggage.
